First Eucharist is celebrated in May, usually at age 8 or 9 or in the 2nd grade. Preparation begins in the fall and is available in our parish in English, Spanish, or through the School. *Young people who have been baptized Catholics who are between the ages of 2nd grade and 18 are always welcome to prepare for their First Communion. Young people older than 2nd grade who are unbaptized are often encouraged to prepare for First Communion along with Confirmation and/or the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA).
